For any Fusion Marine Hifi fans

Will the remote app (on an iPad, say) control the thing directly device to device, without there being an ethernet hub or something in between?

I'm told by my tecchy mate that you will have to plug a wifi router up its @rse end to get the iphone/pad to talk to it.

Hmmm. Suspected as much. I have a wireless printer on the boat but despite contrary assurances of yoof in PC World who sold it to me it too needs a hub. I have a wireless hub in the form of a little mifi thing (which works a treat) but I dont know if it will function as a hub in this scenario (I've yet to set up the printer wirelessly; seems too much faff, so I usb cable it)

Also I'm wondering if the fusion has to be Cat5 cabled to the hub, rather than being wifi itself, which would mean the mifi hub wont work.

Ah well, no worries, the colour screen is nice!

plenty of stereos working direct from smartphones, have one myself, Bose, plenty more coming on the market, uses bluetooth, some of them as small as the fusion,i like the fusions, have one myself, mind u may have to wait untill price comes down...
