We have a waveline 250 RIB..Great ...But I am not as young and able as I used to be and found the foot pump a very difficult item to use so, I have recently purchased a two handed hand pump with a stick out plate affixed to the base for holding with your feet whilst pumping.
What a pleasure and relieve. Pumped it up so quickly. It pumps on the up as well as on the down stroke. Any one else having similar problems? Or any other views.

Strangely enough, I have gone the other way. Recently acquired an inflatable with a hand pump as you describe but found it a real pain so I now use the foot pump from the old dinghy. I suppose its a case of different strokes for different folks !!!

I find them both difficult, Either my back hurts from the repeated bending or I fall over from getting over-enthusiastic on the foot pump! I use a 12V pump plugged into the car or boat and finish off with a handpump, only about a dozen strokes per chamber to get the pressure required.
