The bad news is
Folly landlady panic stricken over prospect of fireworks (who told her it was US that were coming!!!). Any other suggestions for a venue for a few rockets?
The Good news (depending on your particular persuasion of course)
there is a live band.
Might have to squeeze the quiz and funny stories in between their beer breaks but I'm sure we will manage.

Actually I shall have to decline to attend - major conflict with the rugby world cup semi finals that weekend.

I think we prefer the phrase 'assertive arrival'!

I just dont think the logistics are going to work out with 4 compulsory matches to be watched.

I'm sure one of the many panoramic screens at your chart table should be capable of bringing up the match. And loads of room for everybody too. If Stingo a 39 footer can take 32 surely .....

Just a suggestion.

It depends which channel - tele a bit odd sometimes on the IoW - We could record it in the forcabin TV or watch it in the main saloon on the flat screen..

distinct possibility! but ordered so much kit of late can't afford it this month. Plus the reception at the Folly is probably not the best - might suggest to other skipper though.
