when i looked at the Round Britain site I noticed a "safety" page.
Knowing from Paul that the RYA were putting some onerous conditions on boats entered I took a look....

Not about "safety" issues.....they wanted some volunteers as marshalls at each of the stop off points.

I have offered my services for the Lowestoft event which is predicted as being 30th June and 1st July....(Paul please correct if I got the wrong dates)

My problem....

I would like to have at least one person onboard as crew...

Any volunteers....a chance to see the other side for many of you /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Dougie, would love to help out and if I'm in the area you can count me in, but the problem is I can't guarantee where I will be so can't say for certain, sorry.

Hi Doug,

Just checked my rotas, and I seem to be clear, so I'd be interested. I'll have to wait for the boss to get home from work tho', so I'll confirm when I've got clearance (or otherwise). If you get any better offers, obviously go with them.

Doug,
you are a bit adrift on the dates. Arrive Lowestoft 29th June Pm departing for the finish at Portsmouth on Monday 30th.
By the time we get to Lowestoft we will all be Knacked so a Safe arrival gin and Tonic will be most welcome.

Susan is taking 'Brigid Mary' out on the Sunday weather permitting, so I will hoist flags Papa Papa before I leave!!!!!!!

Dont tell her that though
