Has anyone experience of this combination. I know that the Kiwi prop is definitly not recommended but what about the others.?

I have to replace cutlass bearing in the spring and probably a new shaft so just considering a new prop. At present have two bladed.

Really just wondering how they put up with being buried in a fine grinding paste.

Cheers

Assuming you don't start the engine with the prop in the mud, it will quickly disperse with a few revs. Any prop will suffer in water with a heavy sediment load.

I moor in a river off the Bristol channel, so sit in deep mud 5 hours each tide. My feathering prop seems to show no ill effects after 3 years (Darglow).

My boat sits in a mud berth for about 16hrs per day and the CJR folding prop, fitted 6 years ago has been fine.
