Flybridge/sportsboat challenge/semi displacement

With respect that's a rubbish comparison.

You will need all boats to at least be the same length otherwise there's no comparison. You might as well compare a 6mtr rib with a 50ft displacement hulled boat.

Lets settle this once and for all.
Anyone in a sports boat/flybridge heading across the channel this weekend going or coming back ?

Hears the challenge, buy a 6 pack of eggs, leaving uncooked take 3 out of the box.
place one in the anchor locker, one on your bed and one within reach of the helm.
3 in the box in the engine bay (should be cooked ready for afternoon tea on arrival).

Now lets see which boat gives the best ride :)

Anyone heading across the channel who accepts the challenge can either post here or pm me. :)
Is Your real name professor Heinz Wolf?

Daka why start another post over mine.

My post was not to slag peoples boats off, if we choose to have fly or sports it can be down to many reasons why we choose what we choose, cost, mooring charges, image, personal view etc, I can tell you ive been on many flybridge and aft cabin boats from many years back to present day, in the early years some flybridges were not fit for sea use and yet people braved them to be out on the water, I placed this post on here to hear it from the other side.

Shall I put a post on comparing Cummins/mercruiser against volvo, then we will see who comes out on top!

Thanks for yout totally biased view on flybridges, tell me how many 40ft plus sportsboats (which are the ones im asking about) have you owned?

Sorry Paul, didnt mean to upset you. I had realized my views were biased and put on your thread I would back off, once I said that I couldnt really but in again and in any event I didnt want to hyjack your thread.

I am pleased to report I am not posting from the other side, although I did have a few trips in a sports boat in the Humber area when I thought I would be there soon, each time the next wave approached

Over the years we have seen many similar posts, I would also be interested to see how the current thoughts air

I qualified my remarks on your thread which we seam to be talking about now that I had not skippered sports boats above 37ft AND that the larger ones you were looking at could well be as high as a flybridge.

Now the true reason for posting...............pm sent
Seeing as you have complained I will delete my post and undo my posts from your thread best I can.

If anyone ever does not like what I post just send me a pm and I will delete it.

sincerely
Pete
