Hi,
We would like to convert our 2006 F34 flybridge helm seat to also be a rear facing so we can use the area for eating/drinking face to face with each other or guests. Getting the seat cushion replaced is no great shakes, but sorting out the moveable back rest and tubular supports is another matter. Any thoughts or contacts greatly appreciated.

There are a wide selection of standard designs, one might suit.

Try Google for 'boat seat OR bench reversible' and check Images.

Eg.

Pictures of your exiting set up would help. I've not been on one but I understood the triple helm seat was already reversible as you suggest

It's Avery tight FB and I would be cautious about changing the standard set up with something cheap and nasty. You at least need to match the sealine upholstery etc.

Yes agreed regarding quality and finish. The picture you sent is exactly what we are after. It comes as standard on the newer versions, so it is do-able, just wondering if anybody had done it and where they got their bits and pieces from.

Id speak to the people who run britboat then or look at a later F34 and copy that. It will be a fibreglass box so should be a reasonable straight swap. Give me a few month and i may well have a late F34 youd be welcome to look at.

Thanks for the post though, didnt realise the early F34s didnt have this arrangement.

Jez, S37, you know it makes sense lol

BartW of this parish has done this project on his Candos, maybe drop him a pm. Some pics can be found on Vas's MiTos re-build thread here. http://www.ybw.com/forums/showthread.php?296044-MiToS-re-built-fit-versilcraft-Mystery43/page111

MrB is correct, and Bart has sent me a set of sketches which I'll use to built mine. I can email them to whoever wants them.

BUT and it's a big but, the F34 setup seems a bit too tight for Bart's and SpiD system.
I cannot see if there's space on either side of the plinth for the metal brackets.

Due to the shape and tightness, I'd suggest you go and get one from the manufacturer (or anyway, the guys that were subcontracted to built them...)

cheers

I agree

since what the OP wants was included on later boats, it must be relatively easy to buy/replicate a later system and retro fit

I am new to the forum and having just purchased a 2004 F34 I have the same seating challenge. Did you manage to find a solution?

Hi there we have got a late 360 statesman I think it's got same fly bridge layout we just pull the seat adjuster cord and slide the seat off and slide it back on the other way around works just fine seats a bit heavy but 2 people can do it just fine
Thanks Nick
