I have a 5.85 RIB with a Yahama 115 that stays at a mooring 10 months of the year in Northern Ca.. I have no ability to flush so I don't. I think its basically BS. Once a year the boat is pulled and my tech services the engine. Yes, there is some salt buildup but doesn't seem that big a deal.
