My boats going into a marina, its usually kept on a trailor and i flush the outboard after every use. There doesnt seem to be any facility to flush the engine whilst its moored, how long can i leave the engine before it requires flushing? Christ just read that back and im confused so God help you lot! Yellow antifoul CAN YOU GET IT????

I had the same dilema when i had an EBoat with a 6hp johnson O/B, and I found that a bucket lowered over the transom so that the prop sat in it in its "up" position worked well. Of course you had to vertical lift type bracket and a hose nearby to fill the bucket once in position.

I would run the O/B for a few seconds in neutral. Prob did no good at all but made me feel better.

Having seen the damage/blockage caused to some engines.... (blockage mainly on little 2's and 3.3's, to be fair, but it doesn't take much to hold a thermostat open on any size engine), I flush the new engine every time (on a marina berth), but if you can't, you can't.
Is there no way to get a flushing attachment on while it's moored ?

Most people seem to do it once a year, but the outboard workshops get a lot of business......
