Floor hatch surround

I need to cut a small hatch in the cabin floor for easier access to the sea cock. Only needs to be about 200 by 300 but I need to have a surround edge made. Ally or stainless. Can't find anyone. Can you help? Thanks

Not perhaps quite what you are after but would something like these work?

You could always just fit a 200mm diam dinghy inspection/ buoyancy tank hatch
You could buy a metal plasterboard hatch 150*150 with aluminium frame & chuck the door away & just use the frame. Not SS but metal. & you could insert the floor panel Plasterboard Access Panels with Aluminium Frame Inspection Hatch Revision Door | eBay
You could buy a trend spacer ring & make a temporary jig for a router with a bit of experimentation in some plywood first to save buying the complete jig Access rings. The rings for this can be bought seperately

If you could live with a reasonably discreet black plastic ring you might consider using Trend’s Routabout Jig. The piece of the floor that is removed becomes the cover.

PS With a circular bit of ply slightly smaller than the panel, temporarily hot-glued to the floor, you can screw the jig to that to avoiding damaging the piece of floor you will reuse.

What about a surround made of brass angle? With mitred corners and secured by raised head screws.

And a flush lift ring set into it.

I have one of these ( very good quality construction) with the intention to install into the cockpit floor to assist access to parts of the engine, I haven't yet plucked up the courage to cut the hole for it fit. (Maybe this Winter)

What material is your cabin sole, if ply, why does the edging have to be aluminium or stainless? I have access holes in my cabin sole, the ubiquitous ply with holly stripes, the edging is teak batons, 5mm thick on sole edge and the hatch. The larger access hatches have a ring pull style lift, the smaller ones have just a finger hole. The finger hole is lined with iron on teak strip, which has a glue bonded on, I assume the installer used a something like a soldering iron for finger holes. Regarding the teak iron on strip. If you wanted a thinner finish you could use that. I just made a letter box style panel for a new VHF to cover the older VHF hole that was larger. I used iron on teak strip and it worked very well to finish the edge of the ply.
