Flood warning

Southend Tide Gauge is showing 1.2M below predication at 12.52.
If whats not there suddenly decides to turn up should be interesting
Looking at RCC club webcam there is rather a lot of missing water. :)

That was a predicted negative surge (sea water heading to low pressure in the north). The next tide is forecast to have a positive surge app 1.5 m above prediction.
I hope they have it wrong as there may well be big waves on top.

Long time since I've seen warnings as extensive as this:

There is talk of having had over 2M above prediction in the Wash area and many places (most actually) have seen defences breached, the Ea gauge in the Wash has not been updated since four! (fat use that is!) so can't check.

Had a nosey down the river early this morning bottom of the medway estate other side to chatham maritime and there was still 4 feet of the wall out of the water approx 2.30am
Strange thing was the two cars parked up for no reason, reckon they thought me and my scruffy mate were looking for some action!

Was well up around 10pm,when checked boat. Think surge peaked before HW.
Worst affected locally was Faversham, road outside brewery flooded.
