I would just like you all to beware of a floating navigational hazard in the Crouch.

I lost yet another top batten out of the main in the breezy conditions yesterday. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

We have removed the whole white offending item, to be repaired by Mike at Wilkinsons this week. The pocket is not secure.

Regret to inform that also lost at sea today, one woolie hat, sadly missed by former owner (Jason). MOB procedures immediately put into action as Louise maintained visual contact and boat was brought around under sail and returned to the victim. Who sadly sank below the waves when we were only feet away from completing the rescue. Rememberance service carried out as we rounded up and resumed the previous course. Yet another piece of semi submerged junk added to the already heavily pot marked Wash /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Plastic bucket threw itself overboard today, probably due to the heat the flies and the force 0 on Rutland water this morning. SWMBO was going to leave it "It'l sink"..no it bloody won't said I, so we tacked and went after it..took 20 minutes to get back to it. If must have been at least thirty yards away.

I also had a snake swim across Rutland Water in front of me yesterday. Didn't get close enough to say what sort, but it was shifting and clearly very happy in the water. My daughter asked what it was doing in the water. 'Backstroke mostly' was my reply /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
