flippin typical

If you still have the one with a 3knot current through it, I doubt anyone would want it! :D:D

its ok this time of year as the sluice gates are very rarely open and even if they are its only a trickle not a torrent like it was when we had all the rain that's the bad time as the current is like a really fast flowing river to the point where the 1st boat on the row has debris washed 18 inches up its sides last year it even washed a full size commercial wheelie bin through it

Got two weeks off from the 9th with the 10th being my birthday so hopefully see you around for a beer :very_drunk:

Were down from the 8th until the 26th, 16th Wedding Anniversary on the 8th and my 46th Birthday on the 16th.

Hope to bump into a few forumites whilst in the Solent:encouragement:

Dj43, .. we're holed up in Portland marina till our engine's fixed. If you're about tomorrow and accepting visitors we can pop by and say hello?

Hi colhel
We are here for a few days, so yes call in I will pm my Mobil as out and about in the day, we are planning to get the bikes out and have a look at Portland sorry for thread drift

We had 10 days booked off to go to West Country starting this weekend and now with the typical summer weather returning we've decided to go to Majorca instead. After all the lovely sunshine in the last few weeks it's bloody typical that the weather ruins your plans
:(

sorry all, it's my fault. Week booked off next week. Always happens.

Had plans for a decent trip but guess it will be going to all the usual locations in the solent - again, sheltering from the autumn storms.

Another nail in the boating coffin as far as the family are concerned.

Now Majorca sounds like a good plan.......
