Any suggestions of websites which search for charter flights/ cheap flights? At the moment I use kayak, skyscanner and thomascook fly but can't help thinking that there may be some charter flights which aren't getting picked up, skyscanner and kayak come up with different results. Trying to get the glasgow/edinburgh for xmas from canaries. Where depends on price / weather, in Lanzarote at the mo.

We use travelsupermarket.com and find it very good for flights and hotels. Not so brilliant for car hire. Good Luck.

I use airline-network for long haul. Ryanair and easyjet allow booking from either departure point I believe. You could also look at the German budget carriers like Germanwings and air-berlin who may operate to the canaries - not sure.David

Sadly, there is no perfect answer. Many of the sites do not put data up unless the airline/charter company concerned advertises with them, or unless they get a fee per booking. And the large number of sites means that many airline/charter companies won't work with all travel sites . . .

Boring, ennit?

Ah yes! The trick is to use it "back to front" to find the cheap flights ie Scotland to Canaries and back or whatever and then when you go on to the airline site itself knowing that there is a flight that day you "reverse the process ie Canaries to Scotland and back. It works, just be careful that you have got exactly what you need on the screen before you confirm and pay. I always find that finding the cheap flight exists is more than half the trick in arranging economical travel.
Best wishes.

Re: Flight websites - sidestep

There is or was a site called 'sidestep' which claims to check on all the other search sites and come up with the best offer.
I found it worth trying airlines directly because they show you the days when they have their lowest price. This year we flew to Hong Kong return for £370 on Air New Zealand. Couldn't get a better price using any of the search sites. Last year flew to Preveza via Athens from London for £100 on Olympic, [Not on a search site] recounted elsewhere.
Takes time to look around but always gives satisfaction.
