I've looked at a few mobos with flexiteak (maybe 4+yrs old) and it seems to have gone dark brown & looks unrealistic.
Is this a known problem and will say sanding the surface restore the colour?
I get the impression that the newer versions of flexiteak are better??

Are you sure it's flexiteek? The Aikona decking looked more brown and had a lot of problems with cracking, the current Flexiteek looks the most realistic of the synthetic teaks available.

Not in my experience, fantastic product, do not understand why it's not fitted as standard, it's better than real wood and would save a few trees

Take a look at "The Teakman" website. This guy has recently completed my bathing platform. You can choose 3 different finishes.......I went for "scrubbed". I am absolutely delighted with the finished article. I think you may be getting confused with the older Flexiteek which didn't look to good. The latest stuff is known as "2g" (2nd generation) which apparently does not get as hot underfoot as did previously.
