I've a dinghy to repair. The glue has failed over a seam between plywood and vinyl fabric (its a flexible fold out boat) so I need a glue which will form a flexible waterproof bond between ply and PVC Vinyl.

My first thought was sikaflex reinforced with SS bolts every few inches. Any suggestions? I've discounted epoxy as it would not be suitable due to the repeated flexing of the seam.

TIA.

Check out Wurth on the internet.I came accross this new flexible sealant/glue of theirs that's supposed to do all that. Can't remember the name though.

* Evo-stik nail and seal has ultra strong water proof grab adhesive and sealant.
* It’s can be used as water proof for exterior and interior use.
* It has power to bond non-porous materials together.
* Ideal use on metal, mirrors, ceramics, brick, plaster, MDF, plastic and PVCU.

Only problem seems to be its starting to get expensive. Haven't been able to find it for less than £6 except at B&Q. It used to be about £3.

Good job I bought a few tubes.:)

I think you're referring to their MS Polymer in a cartridge. I use it a lot and it does stick to almost everything. Only seem to get it through the trade though and it costs me more than the evo stick mentioned here.
