I recently bought a Vetus flexible holding tank and have was impressed with the quality of that, and so far it's performed well; i.e. no leaks or smell permeating through. Would have thought their flexible water tanks would be worth a look.

Re: Flexible holding tank

You aren't worried about mishaps? I'd be terrified of ending up with a bilge full of something more pungent than bilge water.

Re: Flexible holding tank

The shape of my bilge is such that it's not practical to fit anything but a tiny solid tank unless we resort to chopping sections out of the GRP floor. The flexible tanks sits on carpet to avoid abrasion, and the fabric, which is a multi layer construction, is very tough. The tank is also fixed using fixing eyes so can't move around too much. So far, no problems. It's also in a discreet section of bilge that has its own pump, should the worst happen.....

Try Tilley Inflatables (formerly Stowaway) 01803 833309. I inherited a Stowaway (1993) and had a replacement inner fitted last year by Tilley. Good service and seems a durable unit.
