Hello to all on this forum, I have just registered (newboy) as i wish to purchase a speed boat for my 40th birthday (next year) and i thought a good forum would be a great place to start for info. What am i after?, well i have spent the last year looking at all sorts of craft and the fletcher stands out to me and for no reason im thinking that i would like a boat with the inboard motor rather than the outboard. If any member has advice on the pro`s and cons of the two set ups plus any feedback for the fletcher brand would be greatfully recieved. I spend quite some time during the summer in cornwall even though its 340 miles away and on calm days i would like to use the boat in the sea, Would the fletcher at 18ft be up for the task?. Do members have other boats they would recommend around the 4k mark and would i be right in thinking that a smaller speed boat lets say 14ft would be too small to use in anything other than lakes and rivers.
