Further to the earlier thread on Flat Screen TVs. The following may be of interest to some:

This is 15 v (use a step up converter) It is widescreen and has a multistandard tuner (PAL/SEACAM/NTSC) and also a digital tuner for free to view channels
It also has the ability to accept PC input.

Seems like a good deal to me, and SWMBO has been demanding a TV, so I have just ordered one /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

doubt that yours is running on 12v for much of the time, as will depend on whether charger/solar/engine is running - in which case will be 13.6 - 14.4v. Providing less than required voltage should be fine, but may reduce amplification of the signal. giving it more than required could fry it. There are dc/dc converters available that take the 12-14v from the battery and convert it to a stable output - but I am not sure if they will provide enough amps (still waiting on figures for required amps).

What aerial do you use for yours? and do you use aan aerial amp?

Chosen as it was the one I saw on most motor homes.
When on boat it's not permanently rigged, but gives reasonable pictures even in marginal areas.
When used in the Summer House (shed) here in Canterbury I can pick up French TV.
BTW. 17" samsung and Digi Box,£850 only a year ago and that was the best deal available so your price makes me cross, give it another couple of years and you'll get them free with petrol

Its widescreen as well, and I have seen a small 12v dvd/mp3 player for the exorbitant sum of £110 which I will have to check if it is multiregion!
