Can anyone who keeps a British registered boat in France tell me if they are able to dispose of time-expired flares there?
Wait for Bastille day and join in the celebrations.

Not a silly answer six hand held reds and three smokes were let off in the harbour we were in last year. Had anybody let off a rocket or two nobody would have been any the wiser as the fireworks were fantastic. A Semphore station was less then three cables away.I should have known! No matter how much trouble you take not to write a silly question, someone will always come up with a silly answer!

Let them off on Trafalgar Day!
If you had ever been present at the celebrations, you would have realised that French fireworks are in a different league to our own - more like WW2 re-enactions.
I was at a village fête near Poitiers a few years back, which included a fantastic fireworks display in the evening. across a small river from the fair ground. Mid display an entire rack of fireworks fell over and continued firing into the crowd. There was a slight movement to make room for the projectiles, a bit of shoulder shrugging and that was that. Very reassuringly French.
