Flameproof sheet

Can anyone advise me, I am looking to purchase the silver flameproof sheets which surround the cooker and hob. does anyone know of any suppliers

I got some decorative metal sheet from B&Q last time I needed some.

Metal Supermarkets will have a wider range than B&Q, and almost certainly cheaper.

Didn't think it was a criticism, but there are only 6 Metal Supermarket stores in the entire UK.

Any local sheet metal worker, they'll cut to size too. Much cheaper than metal supermarkets et al

Errr.. your link says "Cannot be used together with a gas hob."

ah yes - well spotted. Can't imagine why though if it's heat resistant?

...but it can be used "with all types of hob except gas" ..... so that's electric and er..........electric !

Possibly they don't mean oil or solid fuel Agas and their ilk, but they're another option.

Cos it's basically MDF with aluminium foil stuck to it, covered with varnish. Although yes, I can't see why that makes it suitable for non-gas hobs.
