I have been thinking about adding a flag to my liitle 17 footer. Now i have no idea what the 'rules' are but it would appear some of our american friends class it as boy racer behaviour:confused: IF i did add a flag 9as i like the look) what would be a good choice to fly? Brittish, English, skull and crossbones, dukes of hazzard LOL :D:confused:

PS I think your perspective needs an adjustment if you equate flying our flag with putting s spoiler on a Corolla. And I don't mean that in a malicious way. Really.
No need to get testy. I'm sure that the fellas with the spoilers have just as much pride in their car as you do in your boat. I recalled that you are new to boat ownership, having recently purchased your 19' boat, and thought I'd offer that information before you drilled holes in that fine boat you've got.

FWIW, around here, it is rare to see a small boat with a yacht ensign. I see them about as often as I see spoilers on corollas. I was simply relaying that information.

WTF?

Where's here? Where did you find the original question &, from 2004, how likely that the original poster will still care?

Any UK person can fly the Red Ensign on the stern of theri boat - whatever it's size, but few bother for tenders, workboats or dinghies. But I don't now about Nantucket, I've never bin there - if that is OP's location.

'HERE' is in Southamptom for me, 'here' for the quote was the states, easy to find the original thread, just copy and paste any quote from a forum or anything you read on the net and it will take you to the original soarce:cool:

So why didn't you quote it in the normal manner which identifies the source directly. And what are you doing digging up half-cocked stuff like that from the archives 6 years ago? Does the OP still have a boat, are they still active? Are they even still alive? Does anyone care?

As I asked originally WTF are you up to? :D :D

Edit; there is no Nantucketsal on our membership list, so where did you drag it up from?

Its from an american forum not this one, read carefully and pay more attention, if you are not interested in the post keep your mindless ramblings to yourself, not rocket science...dont like the post, dont reply ;) You normally offer some good advice, but im thinking you may have had a few tonight:D

strewth you're turning into a grumpy old git Searush. What's happened recently?

Pointless & bonkers posts, that's all. How were we expected to respond to something dragged off a foreign forum from 6 years ago?

Sure, I try to give sensible answers to sensible (or beginners) questions - and I like a joke & a tease, but this is warped rather than warpa. :D

Was I supposed to take it seriously? Would you like to give a serious response? Or anyone else?

I give in!

EDIT; I did actually give a sensible response initially. It was Warpa that got shirty at my wondering what he was up to.

Oh dear SR you really are doing 'the grumpy ole g1t' thing at the moment, it was a simple question by me with a simple quote from another, where it all came from is irrelevant. Ill fly my flag as i see fit me thinks:D
