Flag pole size

Hi could anyone suggest the correct flag pole length to fly a 1 yrd (91x46cm) ensign and one for a 15" Burgee (38x25cm).

The ensign pole would be mounted on the gunwale? top as I have a sports boat so not flybridge or cabin roof mounted. The Burgee (if i get round to it), would likely be rail mounted on the pulpit.

Any suggestions most gratefully received.
