I just did 2 of my windows over the weekend using butyl tape.
Have been down tonight and neither have leaked after the two days of rain we have just had.
I have put it on my blog (with pics) to show the method I used. Link to blog is below.The butyl is like very sticky blutac!

I see you and others have had various results with Sika 295uv.
I used it and it's horrifically expensive primer 2 years ago for my glued on windows.
so far it's been excellent.
tried before without the primer which failed dismally.
