Fixing on dodgers - how?

one length of signal hallyard starting in one corner and with the safety line behind an eyelet put the line through the eyelet round the lifeline and back through the eylet then to the next eyelet. Very neat and tought.

My dodgers are a complete pain near the stern. The winches are outboard of the cockpit and the dodgers prevent use of the genoa. So the dodgers get tied up out of the way when we sail! SWMBO likes them as they keep the wind off!

I agree, fitted dodgers to my boat (which I think is similar to yours) last year but have left them off this year so far, Although the genoa sheet will run inside them OK the tops of the winches do foul the dodgers unless there is a cut out for them, they get in the way boarding and disembarking, launching the dinghy and picking up the mooring (I drop the guardrails using pelican clips when necessary anyway) and as regards safety they make the kids stand on the lockers to see over them! Also they restrict the view when sat in the saloon! -------- do you want to buy a spare set, plain white with no lettering.

We also dislike using dodgers but they do give a degree of privacy in the cockpit when in a marina. Ours are attached with strips of velcro sewn on and can be put on and removed very quickly. We have no toe rail so use the plastic fittings for spray hood tensioning tapes to attach the bottom of the dodgers to the deck.
