Hi
Just a quick note to say that we (Blue Bark) thoroughly enjoyed Friday night.
It must have been good as my ears were still ringing yesterday morning and my voice is still very 'Barry White'!!
Great to finally meet so many Forumites in the flesh. Hope to see many more at future events.
If anyone has any pictures/video they would care to pass on, please PM me and I'll give you an email address to send them to.
Cheers
D
PS, you can get copies of CDs by us at the website below and by Men In Spex here http://www.reverbnation.com/meninspex

A quick note from me and Louise just to say a very very big thank you to Neil and Duncan (Men in Spex and Blue Bark) along with everyone in your groups. An absolutely brilliant night made even better by so many from here coming over and having such a good time. At least I hope everyone did ?

Only had time to take one photo but Neil (Morgana) managed to get loads and even some video, hope he hasn't forgotten them :p

If anyone has pic's could they please post here

Did everyone enjoy the evening ?

If so, we may well do it again next year, with a bit of an extra twist to it ;)

Think I even saw D3B although only for long enough to say hello, with everything seeming to go wrong at the same time. Ended up with staff and customers going on strike over the plastic glasses thing, to the point where some decided to take over the glass wash and had fun throwing the plastic stuff out :o

A great night, thanks to everyone that made it come together, and feedback would be appreciated please

Hope everyone managed to get a good night sleep too :D

I rather hope he hasn't, or certainly that he has none of me. I drank FAR FAR too much and suspect I will look tres squiffy.

If anyone has pic's could they please post here
please don't!

Yes please - you do like your 'twists' don't you?

I got there too late to see D3B, but it was good to see Clive and meet Fay - albeit briefly.

feedback would be appreciated please
What else to say? It's a lovely pub, in a lovely spot (devil-worshipping country mind), not too far from the main road, lovely bar-staff and the menu is looking good. By the time I arrived everything was well under way and all the locals looked like they were having a great time too.

Hope everyone managed to get a good night sleep too :D
Unsurprisingly (due to the amount of Jack Daniels consumed), yet surprisingly (due to the two-seater settee) I slept well and woke up feeling great. Must have been the snoring of my roommates that lulled me to sleep. :D It was a home from home.

Sorry I rushed off in the morning before you got up - Thanks Dave, I really did have a good time.

Hi All,

Thanks from the Spex band for a super night too, we all enjoyed ourselves despite the miserable weather. Cheers to Duncan and the Blue Bark guys we got it all to work in the end :)

Must say Hessett has the biggest fireworks I've seen, the final rockets were immense. I assume that the bonfire was that big because they were burning the next village, it was enormous.

Here's a few pics:

Five Bells Gig

I have some video as well but it will take a bit longer to get that online.

Thanks to everyone who came along nice to see everyone again and I hope you all enjoyed it. Well done to Dave and Louise for getting the pub spiffed up, good luck with everything!

Cheers

Neil

PS Had a very nice sail on Friday morning before the gig and then a great weekend jaunt over to Brightlingsea Sat & Sun with the Tollesbury CC crowd to watch even more fireworks. Super weekend all round!

We will throw in our own twist next year - and actually turn up BEFORE most others have long gone home :D:D:D

Great as ever to catch up .......

Odd, thanks for letting me know Paul. It's supposed to be publicly viewable and I can see it fine, all the photo's are there.

Can't see anything wrong after a quick rummage, I'll look into it more tomorrow.

Someone must have more of the actual audience who were getting pretty squiffy - hope they get posted soon as well :D

Something tells me Morgana forgot the batteries in his camera again :D
Told me he had hundreds of pic's and video but then maybe he had one or two too many

Don't hold your breath for the Video.
I have been waiting a few years for one he took of Sirenia hiding behind waves in the Dover Straight.

Some people don't bite easily :rolleyes:

Anyway, to update for those that may be interested, we may not have the access hole we've been waiting for all this time, but we have now decided to go for it, and have tested our suppliers, and they have been pronounced to be excellent quality. The rump with gooeys went down well, the ribs with wedges go down nicely too, and the, erm, potato straws are indeed very tasty. So for those waiting for the news

We are now a fully functioning steak and seafood restaurant

Oysters and lobster will come later, but as some have asked, yes we have managed to source everything locally, even down to some beef coming from a farm in the next village soon ;)

Now we just have to hope things pick up a little and not too many are looking forward to turkey :o

Neil, if you get the chance to e mail the pic's before you manage to upload them, they would be very useful, thanks
