Fitting Up Supper - 14th April 2012

Sarah & her husband have already left, went to their leaving do last week, Gail & Scott are there for a while but are off in a month or so, Lindsay left at the end of last year. As to why, both couples are going off to manage their seperate establishments. I know things move on but I had only just got used to the place having such good service.

Having read the posts above, I just called them to check our booking is still in diary in case the changes have made anything go squiffy. I've just been told that our booking has been rubbed out (the woman I spoke to said she could see the writing under the erasing marks). I've asked for it to be put back in, but she says the Ganges AGM is now booked in during the day and she's not sure what time that finishes. I am waiting for Gail to call me back, but I have back-to-back meetings for the rest of today and I'm out all day tomorrow.

So, if anyone is around there tomorrow- could you pop in and see what's going on please? Thanks. The booking is in my name (Lisa Pini) and ECF for 40 people.

When I confirmed the booking (weeks ago) I was told all would be find just to call ahead with two weeks notice with final numbers.

in brief - yes compared to you crusty old lot.

as it happens. I have now refreshed my memory of the Bristol Arms and remembered the last time I was there - which would have been about 2004 on new years eve. We sailed from Neptune and overnighted there for the party. Good it were.

I see no reason to change as Gail and the chef will still be there along with other good background staff, I am working in Shotley this week so can check if somebody wants, I would certainly have no problem as your FOS is before Gail goes,in fact we (SPYC) have our FOS there this weekend, might even come along to the East Coast one. Sarah will be running the Rose in Shotley when her uncle has finished the refurb.

Yes, Sarah told me she was taking over the Rose as her Uncle owns it, she left at the begininng of March (i think) the Rose is in Shotley proper, an athletic walk from the Marina, i dont think it will be open for some time though.
When i was talking to her she didnt say who was taking over, but Gail would be the obvious choice i would have thought?

Plans as they were - we are back in the diary at the Shipwreck. Spoke to Gail earlier and sorted it out. We will have to pre-order as expected, will post menus later.

Possibly, but she's leaving too as is Scott her husband and chef. I did happen to see a couple in for interview and did like the look and demenour of them I confess.
