Fitting Transducer thro\' steel hull
Need to replace my ageing Seafarer Echosounder and have removed old transducer from my steel hull. This was secured in a vertical steel tube welded in position thro' the hull.
Has anyone any thoughts/recommendations on the best to buy and whether one type or the other would have a transducer to fit into my existing housing, perhaps with minor modifications.
I also need a speed log and the same problems exist, although here I appreciate that I shall need to fasten thro' the hull with a new hole & fitting.
Should I go for a dual display or separate units. Ive heard the NASA range is very good.
Thanks,
