Fitting storm jib over furled headsail

Just to be different, I have a wrap-around from Saturn Sails. We can't really fit an extra forestay on our boat without changing lots of things, but this storm jib sits at the base of the genoa in its bag, with halyard already attached. This can be done whilst still relatively good conditions with a view to hoisting it if things get bad. When the need arises, you only have to go to the forestay to collect the genoa sheets and clip them out of the way down by the furlex. Return to the cockpit, hoist up the storm jib on your winch and it all "pops" into shape and velcros itself together. Sheet in with pre-positioned sheets affixed at the same time as placing the storm jib there.

We have tried it in 30 kts with a slight sea and it was no drama. I would imagine it wont be any more of a drama in a rough sea either providing you have anticipated the conditions.

It was expensive (£600) but cheaper than the alternatives of new bits of rigging.

There are photos of it on Saturn's website.
