Fitting new hull anode, what is best sealant?

Hi all
I am about to fit a new hull anode with new bolts but I was wondering what is the best sealant to use to ensure no water leaks in.
Thanks for any advise

A lot of people like Butyl Tape:

Butyl Tape 9 x 3mm 7M Strip Grey Sealant Made by Sellotape 7 Meters see details | eBay

Cheap, clean, lasts and does not go off on the reel, with lots of other uses around the boat. Put it around the bolt section .and under the shoulder of the stud. It does ooze under pressure but you can just cut off the excess with a knife.

Having said that, I have used ordinary household Silicone for years and it's been fine.

Not massively keen on butyl underwater but it has the advantage that if you need to change the bolts again they will be easier to remove. A typical permanent product would be Sikaflex, PU40 or CT-1

The sealant is to seal the studs in the hull. Only needed when you first fit or replace the studs. Almost any sealant will do the job .... chewing gum if that all you have, but the OP asked what was the best.

The gasket protects the hull from the anode and should be replaced every time a new anode is fitted,
