Evening..
Im ready to fit a flexible triangular lalizas water tank, 55l I believe..
had it for a few years and unwrapped it today, it comes with a pre installed vent and an outlet fitting, scant instruction printed on the bladder and not much more on their website. I think i read on here that both the inlet and outlet must be positioned underneath, maybe I saw an image showing this, can anyone confirm please?

Mine has both inlet and outlet on the top. It has no vent. It goes flat as it empties.

If there is a vent it must be on the top and the outlet must then be underneath or the pump will simply suck the air that comes in through the vent. Are all three fittings on the same surface or are the outlet and the vent on opposite surfaces ?

I would blank off the vent and install it with inlet and outlet on the top.

I agree with Vic - pipes go to the top and no vent needed. Indeed, I have only one pipe to my flexible tank with the supply to the galley tee'd off the inlet.

thanks..
this is usefull info.
it came with just the vent pre fitted, I can possibly replace this with an inlet or outlet fitting, then fit the other to the same side.
Outlet fitting has less than an inch of pickup pipe attached, I assume this automatically stays below water level as the tank empties and deforms?
Im using both manual and electric pumps for taps/faucet, should that cause any issues?

Depending on the installation, you can choose. An online site says "The tanks are supplied with a valve installed, which can be used for filling. Two additional fittings are supplied so you can add them to the tank at the most suitable position to suit your application." So you could use the existing vent as a filler, and fit an outlet on the underside.

i dont think mine has any extended pick up pipe inside the tank. In normal use the tank is completely full, with no air space. When i fill it all the air is displaced up the filler pipe, any small amount trapped in the tank is pumped out with the first water drawn off.

With no fittings underneath it sits "flat" in the bottom of its compartment

FWIW Plastimo fit the outlet on the back side of rectangular pillow tanks ( close to a corner) but both inlet and outlet on the upperside of triangular tanks. There are no vents

If anyone is considering a Lalizas (now Nuova Rade) flexible tank they should be aware that unlike the original variety the available version can have the outlet pre-fitted on the bottom and the vent prefitted on the top. This was the case when I placed a web order replacement for my Lalizas 100 L - despite the description which proved to have been continued from the Lalizas item. Why anyone would want a bottom outlet I cannot understand unless they have the tank placed on a shelf/plinth with space below. At any rate I sent it back and bought a nice Vetus tank, with loose outlet, at a good price from ASAP.

Considering a Nuova Rade flexible tank instead of my leaky stainless. Any long-term experience with these, how long they last?/how durable they are?
