Fitting Calorifier Connections To a VP 2002 Heat Exchanger

I’m in the process of buying a Westerly fitted with an indirectly cooled Volvo Penta 2002 engine. One of the first things to do with my new purchase is to fit hot water: a calorifier plumbed into the engine’s heat exchanger.

Could anyone please point me towards a list of fittings of the take off and return to the heat exchanger and if possible, a guide on how to fit them? (Failing that, a co. near Portsmouth that could fit the calorifier fittings).

The Volvo Penta workshop manual has this diagram of the cooling system - the calorifier connections are shown as 21 and 23.



The two hose connections screw in to replace blanking plugs. I believe the part numbers are 961653 and 479978 and any Volvo Penta dealer will be able to supply them.
