I am planning to swap out my chemical toilet for a flushing type and would be grateful for any advice especially how to bolt the bowl to the deck. Any tips appreciated.

Hurmph!! Having got over the frivolity I would suggest you need a nice quiet place below deck and glass in a pad of plywood to bolt it to.

Fore and aft best orientation I think,

In my old 1/2 tonner it was mounted athwartships, I did an emergency tack and the occupant was thrown off the seat through the curtain (weight saving), in the recumbent position, newspaper in hand, trousers round his ankles into the wet locker opposite, all rapidly followed by the contents of the pan.

The toilet in my MG Spring 25 is mounted on a board and I think its just screwed to the fibre glass moulding in the heads compartment. I have a photo that I downloaded from the Brokers web site when I bought it in December. I can email it to you if you PM me with your email address. It's a shame, I was at the boat yesterday and can't get back there for a couple of weeks to have a closer look at how its mounted.

Re-done the loo in my spring (years of big bums had made it wobble) the plinth moulded in has a metal (I assume its aluminium) plate bonded inside. Drill and tap and fix with machine screws. The other option is to fix loo to wooded base and fix this down, but its much more complicated. PM me if wou want any other help.
