Any advice on fitting an inboard engine, sterntube and p-bracket. Where to get the parts, I have the engine and prop.

Thanks

For supplies tryA.S.A.P stick that in www.

Giss a clue, what eng, size shaft size, boat type would be nice.

IE "You have the engne and prop" What do you fancy surrounding it with?

Ok that will be a yanmar 1gm10 going to be fitted to a gk24 whether it likes it or not, no it will fit easily that is the easy bit. Cutting the hole for the tube is the scary part. where help/advice will be good

Have fitted a couple in the past, Stern tube assy's that is!. don't have experience of a GK24 but would suggest that if you start at that end, it might make life easier. If you have prop apperture you will probably want to maximise the area the blade will work in, so that should give you an idea where to start with a pilot hole, Run a piece of garden wire as far forward to something central at the angle (10 -13deg) you are expecting to work too and that should give you a datum line to plan your engine beds, Clearance,Height and width according to your requirements. Often easier to get some 4"angle made up the length of the engine mounts plus a bit and side mount them from a central hole with 4 locking holes each side. This makes glassing in the bed supports a little less critical HTH
