We use our Sealine T46 on the non tidal Thames, based near Marlow Bucks we are thinking of having a stern thruster fitted not to help with close quarter work but to be used to thrust the stern into and out of bankside moorings which are shallow. Anyone know approx cost and who could do the job?
The boat is due to be lifted an the end of Feb

Thanks

Have replied on your other thread as well but just in case you don't see it soon, we had one fitted to Hollywood by Osmotech , Hamble,.....brilliant, brilliant, brilliant ! Can't recommend highly enough their craftsmanship and keeping to timescale etc .

Just be careful on the installation!
I had one fitted by a 'reputable' company that rusted out after a year. Turned out that every time the boat was on the plane, all the residual bilge water (the bits the pumps can't quite reach) ran back and soaked the motor. It was eventually solved after by fitting a new motor, extra floor (low bulkhead) and an extra dedicated bilge pump.....just to be sure.
If you are based at Marlow, you probably won't be planning (unless you want to upset thoserowing chaps)

If fitted as shown in the manual this shouldn't be a problem, I would also be concerned if I had that much bilge water.

+ 4 ( lost count ) for osmotech, retro fitted as a purchase agreement, extremely good installation,
I would recommend as we can go sideways now, ( targa 47) like pods -)
