Fiskardho - floating pontoon fixed yet?

We were there last week (4/6/09). It's not fixed yet. Boats were still using it despite it being taped off but most of them were being moved on by the coastguard. Replacements were supposed to be coming in a couple of weeks.

We were there on May 19, and the rest of the quay was packed (at least 2 flotillas in). We anchored in the bay with a line ashore, and were glad we did, for the peace and quiet.

Was there a week ago. One third of the floating pontoon was used. We managed to berth on the town quay bt was only in a 32 footer. We arrived late afternoon. next morining there was lots of yachts exiting around ten am possibly. get in by mid day and you will be fine. Found that the winds were pretty favourable for morning sailing.
The supermarket on the quay sells nice white Robola at 5 euros. Put three bottles and 12 beers in the freezer outside for 1/2 hour. Shop owner was very nice.
Water was 5 euro tho. next door.

Busy as usual, but not totally packed. We managed to find space on the quay when we were in by early afternoon. We went on the pontoon once and managed to avoid being moved until the next morning - when there was plenty of space elsewhere. You can always find plenty of room to anchor and take a line ashore on the north side by the trees. Beware of the depths on the quay on the (trying to remember)south east side i think (by the restaurant with the big blue canopy) it goes down to about 1.7/1.8m - we stayed a little way off and used the dinghy as a bridge! Also it's pretty noisy if you're outside the Cavoverde Bar - loud music til about 3am. By the way have you eaten at Lord Falcon (Thai restaurant - not typically Greek, but great food)?
