Must have been the last days the Caplin the Cods dinner gradually didn’t turn up and Farley Mowat documented the last days of the Outports in his book “My boat wouldn’t float”…….the outports are very quite now

Voyage of the Argus, by Alan Villiers, is a good read on the cod fishing in the 50s, still done then by long lines and dories.
