Fishfinder 160, can I fit an audio alarm?

Theres a yellow wire coming out the back that says 'alarm low', I presumed that this could be connected to an alarm some how but theres nothing in the manual...?

stick a voltmeter between it and earth, trigger an alarm event and see what you get........

also try looking at another manual - Garmin tend to use common colouring etc - might tell you more!

The Yellow wire is Negative for an alarm, 100mA max.
So connect the alarm between Yellow and +ve.
Depending on the current the alarm draws, you might need a relay.
