I've eaten there a few times and even recommended it in the past, but after two disappointing visits last year, we never returned.
There's no shortage of decent restaurants in Plymouth.

The Fisherman's never pretended to be a restaurant but was a pub with food and I thought it good at that blend. Yes, there are much better restaurants in Plymouth but I wouldn't go to Tanners for a pint and fish and chips.

They obviously had other thoughts - quote from their TA page

"Description: ..............the Fishermans Arms is a traditional pub with real ales, a warm and friendly atmosphere and a fantastic restaurant."
