Fish boxes

Apologies if this is a silly question.

I have a quicksilver pilothouse 605 which has 2 fish boxes/lockers.

Does anyone know how I drain the water out of these? When I remove the drain plugs water actually comes up from the hole. I do not have electric pump out.

The manual just says remove the plugs. Though it does say to have the plugs in before putting the boat in the water.

Can you not see where the outlet is it won’t be under the water line ,there may be a valve in the pipe

Most fish box/ live bait wells only drain when you are on the move, then you put the bung back in, similar to a transom sump drain.
