Firth of Forth - Draft

The spelling depends on whether you were in Cupar (Fife) or in Coupar Angus (which, confusingly, is in Perthshire). The two towns are only about 30 miles apart.

+1 for a bilge-keeler. Just take a look at the yachts that stay on the hard at crane-in. Most will be fin keelers. Fins lack the flexibly required for cruising on the Forth. Of course if you're happy going round in circles for a few hours at a time, or want to go further afield, then that's a different matter.

Port Edgar; poor maintenance means it's frankly unsafe round the edges. West harbour at Granton; a bit exposed with four yachts blown aground late last season. See here: http://www.rfyc.org/2012/uncategorized/storm-force-winds-2425-september-2012/
