We are quite lucky and have done quite a lot of boating this year but we had not been to our little S24 on the broads for over 6 months. So off we went, got involved with some p boat racing and came home early because it got so hot.

Looks like a lot of fun, and after six months the boat seems to behave well.

Any chance of you buying a 'dead cat" for the microphone ? It would make listening easier and more enjoyable.

Thanks I know what you mean about the dead cat but I film on an Iphone and it is quite ad hoc and the mic on an Iphone is right by the Lens so not much you can do. You make a good point however

Lucky fella…to have a boat like this…and an equally excellent wee Rib, to take up to Loch Lomond, when the notion takes you…you should bring the Sealine up here more often. I’ll do a mooring swap/ exchange week with you !!

We did originally buy the Sealine to tow but it is too big and heavy for that in our view. The stress of towing that big is too great. That is one of the reasons we got the little rib. We were very lucky and bought all our boats when prices were very reasonable.

we certainly loved Lomond and will deffo come that way again

Even if you’re not using the boat, I would recommend starting the engine every now and then, putting into gear (ahead and stern) and running all systems.

Open is divided on that one. Many feel that you should only start the engine if you run it for a good while and gets properly to temp etc, if not it just causes unnecessary ware etc. I have read both the start it and dont start it advice on here. At the moment I tend to go with the only start it if you intend to use it advice.
