First trip on tidal Thames ........ Possibly

30 knots? Surely that is excessive speed? The lower reaches of the Thames are not the open sea. Could be dangerous to other river users, wildlife and the boat itself, there are large amounts of detritus in the river, hitting a log at that speed could be catastrophic. A fishing net round the prop would take the stern gear out.
Besides it is just anti social!

First of all I was not on lower reaches. I was way past sheerness on the estuary. No other boats, a mile wide of water and the odd seagull overhead. I don't see what your problem is :nonchalance:

My first trip out and my new to me boat so thanks for being the doom and gloom merchant. 30 knots for 60 seconds!! Hardly the crime of the century. It's not like I was in Henley buzzing the rowers

Good for you blues-n-twos,well done, you'll never forget your first time:)......and as an added bonus you didn't have to join the BCC and meet No Regrets :encouragement:
Just beware of any friendly men of Kent, they like shiny things:)

I've already had to turf a few of you lot off. One was trying to pinch my shiny anchor!! ;)

Lovely marina though. Not so nice was when the lock gates opened and a mini tsunami came into the lock :nonchalance:

Got bashed about a bit :disgust:

So I've booked my spot by Grain A and will video the demolition of the tower then off to explore the creeks but not at 30 knots :nonchalance: ;)
