Well - first outdoor sighting ...

She's haning from the crane, just above the cradle. The keel, has been test fitted (less the bulb) and is visible just aft of fwd cradle support (yes, it is a bit slender).

Neither rudder has been fitted yet - they might be in the next series of photos.

Is the pic visible?

Is it just me - or has the picture disappeared? It maybe that I cant see my web server from inside the firewall - or equally it maybe that it is all snafu'd

Certainly dont want to have it further fwd than required. I had rather forgotten just how slender the chord on the keel actually was - the concept of something that slender (plus the rudders) generating all the lift to prevent leeway is a bit scary - no wonder you have to keep the boat moving at all times. Also notice the difference in weather ...

Well, actually I would much prefer Jersey, but... Hamble is more sensible!

<hr width=100% size=1>my opinion is complete rubbish, probably.

The reason the keel strut looks quite so slender is that the fibreglass foil isnt in situ - when this is added the size of the keel increases markedly, and is nearly 12 inches deeep fore and aft.
