Not having an engine to re-spray because I re-engined a couple of years ago :p , press-ganged some crew and went sailing.

jimi kindly volunteered to give the decks a scrub. Very grateful.

What did you do today? :D

I only went out for a couple of hours this afternoon but is was very nice.

Ditto.
Orwell - Medusa and back.
Sometimes it's the little things that do it for me.
Not really having been sailing for over 6 weeks, today was just what the doctor ordered.
Only used the engine to get in/out the marina, sailed all the rest.
Hope this warm, post-sail glow stays with me for a couple of days more - starting a week of night-shifts tomorrow.

Great sail from Fox's down to Levington and back on our friends new Beneteau Oceanis 31...lovely day for a sail - roll on April when our boat goes back in the water:)

Not many of us out yesterday.
But all seemed to be forumites.
We berthed next to BenW in Ipswich, followed John HH21 down the Orwell and met OR4571 at Levington.

(Running Free - Maxi 1100)

Three months till back in - so much to do and so much time until the keel gets wet. Still she'll be in for three years straight after that.

We passed you...

Will - We passed you in the harbour - you were heading in as we were heading out... a night at Ramsholt - took this shot of the sunset - unseasonably mild and a great sail - got back this afternoon...

What did you do today? :D

We had our last sail of last year, as it were, and the last sail in our trusty boat of the last few years and last few thousand miles.

Motored (due to lack of remaining daylight time) round Thurs eve to Walton Backwaters. Today we upped anchor and breezed up to Woodbridge, admiring a great many birds and a good handful of seals on the way.

Boat now to be lifted out and to be tidied up for sale:(. A huge list of jobs to do on the 'new' replacement boat (I can't imagine what we were thinking when we bought it!), so who knows when we will next be on the water.

Thanks - I appreciate the thought (I think).
However, I love sailing too much to bother with 'projects'.
If I enjoyed projects, I would have a shed instead of a boat. ;)

Says he after completing the biggest refit project on the East Coast

:D

Out on the river as I type, bit murky but enough of a gentle breeze to keep the engine off :)
Bit of berthing practice when I get back to new berth at Fox's

Still bear the mental scars.
Just the mere mention of the word 'project' sends cold shivers down my spine.
Suffer from a kind of boaty PTSD. :o:o:o:o

Anyway, let's not forget the valiant effort of Phoenix of Hamble.

Like a good friend told me a while ago: sometimes great things are achieved by naive and ill-informed people. :p
