I think you may need to tag your album so that it's available to the public gaze.

As DJE said, the problem is the URL not ending in .jpg or.gif...

Link points to photobox but not the pic

if you go back to the place you stuck the pic on there - highlight and copy the url in the bar at the top then paste it into your post - or use the add photo in the message creation on here and pop it in there

Brian, I think you will find that Photobox does not support forum links. When you go to photo in a public album there it does not provide a suitable .jpg address, it uses it's own album code to identify the pic.

You need to use Photobucket which does support this function.

Photobucket also provides the link URL for any given pic in a box below the thumbnail. It uses different tags though so just delete them to use.

The third line in the box below the thumb nail is the IMG link. You can just copy and paste that into the forum without bothering about the Image mark up in the forum itself.

Yeah, you are right of course. They just use the shortened form.
Anyway, he seems to have got the hang of it.
