Did you make your visitor varnish the bright work, I have heard everyone who comes aboard your boat, even on a social visit has to work their passage! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Shipswoffy... It was visitors and they just sat there drinking coffee and red wine, never once offered to pick up the varnish brush so to speak but I'll get them next time?? /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
Yachting Monthly Scuttlebutt. Rather suggest it's for yachts does it not. It doesn't say Motorboating Monthly Scuttlebutt. And raggies post in mobochat too, so what is the issue. Really?
And apparently some raggies are invited aboard some Mobo's.
Which I have to say, 5 people sat out in the cockpit and still bags of room, for socialising the mobo is the way to go.
I would like to apologise for going on board a Mobo and also finding it quite beautiful, Tom and his friends have done a wonderful job on Little Ship, a wooden Grand Banks something! (can't quite remember). From his descriptions of her state when she arrived into his care he should be extremely proud of how she looks right now. And oh my does the engine sound sweet.
If I went down the Mobo route the older Grand Banks would definitely be on my list after a converted MFV of course, I have a soft spot for them if done well.
If I had one complaint for the day, it would be that I am not allowed to drink at the moment, but there will be another chance, hopefully on the river next time!
