First formurite on board???

Well, having been on these sites for some time, I was approached by my first formurites this week end, and a jolly nice chap and chapess they were. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
All I can tell you is, he had to come over to the dark side, the shock of him setting foot on a motor boat.
Now then, now then! (as Jimmy used to say) who was it.

Contrary to popular belief .....

there is not actually a Sailboat only forum - there is a MOBO one yes .... Reader to Reader is Practical Boat Owner forum, Scuttlbut etc. etc. I don't read anywhere a Sailboat only description ....

Dark side ? .... to me boats are boats ... with or without sails .... but I have always thought it strange that MOBO's have had their OWN forum .......... WHY ?

Thats more like it, plain English for a Northern lad!!
I agree boats are boats if they have sails or not, but not everybody thinks that way just look through some of the posts and thats plain to see? No reflection I may add on my visitors erm......... well, I dont think so!

No I always think it sad that we have the raggie / stinkie names and attitude ... I have enjoyed myself with Bayliner style and tunnel hulls, as well as racing sail boats etc., - they all have their own distinctive characters .... OK - so I prefer wind power and sails .... but often find myself motoring to make the tide etc.

I don't care what boat it is - as long as people are enjoying themselves and not interfering / hurting others ......

One day a raggie boat will have same volume / comfort / luxury's that a mobo has !!!! LOA for LOA that is !!!!!

Yep - Im p.....d off .... no boating today .... high winds, cut the bloody grass - 3.5 acres of it .... dogs out, sort garden, kiss wife, make own dinner ... beers finished, [--word removed--] it .... now all I have is the bloody forums !!!
