first boat

hi folks, a friend of mine is looking for his first boat about 30ft ,budget between 20 to 30 thou any suggestions of a suitable craft ? has been looking at a fairline sedan i dont know much about these boats so any guidence appreciated many regards

Don't know vast amounts about the Fairline Sedan other than i'm sure it has outdrives.
Now i have a boat with a single outdrive so certainly wouldn't be put off by that but i would certainly suggest getting to know a bit about them, what to look out for and what maintenance to expect.

It's certainly a bit more involved than a simple shaft with 'stuffing box' etc.

From all i've heard they are great boats and, for their age etc seem to hold their money reasonably well.
