First ambition of 2007: achieved

OK - there was hardly any wind - never more than 6kts over the deck - but at one time we achieved 4.2kts over the ground.

First time on Guapa - everything bigger and heavier - but considering it's been over 18 months since I last flew a kite it did not go bad at all.

I had 9kn in East Solent today with gusts of 12. Had a lovely sail shaking out the cobwebs. Didnt fly the kite tho.

Sadly not sailing, 'AT' were out teaching boat handling on the Blackwater on this glorious Sat and slightly less Sun this weekend! But did get over thirty Knts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seems we really missed out today!!

We did sort out the design of our windscreen, get the electricity up and running on board, and a few other things, so it wasn't a wasted day.

Not fair! I could see a few boats out on the Orwell!

I was putting on first coat of anti-foul!

Spent the weekend scraping and sanding Jissel. Bluddy antifoul - The top coat worked fine and comes off (eventually) but the stuff underneath should have been called Growmore and it's sticking like the proverbial to a blanket /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

My electric scraper died /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Plus side: Went to Havant boat jumble and got enough line to replace all my halyards for a tenner /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Had about 4 on Saturday, hence about 2.2. on the log, and about 1 on Sunday...
